This app can be used not only on Android and iOS smartphones but also on some feature phones running on alternative operating systems. Although the company has been providing the app to run on various types of devices, it will stop running on some phones from this year.
WhatsApp will not work on 35 model mobiles
According to a report published on a website called Canaltech, WhatsApp has stopped sending updates to 35 models of mobile phones running on older versions of Google and Apple operating systems.
The list of such phones is mentioned below. So that it is easy for you to know whether WhatsApp stops working on the phone you are using or not.
This will also make it easier for you to decide whether to change your mobile to use WhatsApp continuously. Some of the mobiles in this list are old.
Even though the hardware is good, WhatsApp is still running on some phones that are unable to be upgraded. Also, the company recommends phones with Android 5.0 or later or iOS 12 or later for WhatsApp.
List of mobiles that do not run WhatsApp
Some of the mobiles in this list are seven years old or even older. Some users may argue that the iPhone 6S Plus is still in usable condition. But WhatsApp has decided to focus on new hardware and updated software by leaving out the other mobiles in this list.
